Great walk. Definitely quieter than other routes. It is certainly steep on Rhyd Ddu on the way up but nothing that someone moderately fit couldn't handle. The climb to the summit is a bit narrow and the wind can get pretty biting towards the top. On the way down be careful not to follow the Ranger path all the way, look out for the ladder over the fence to the left and before the gate which is the way down the Ranger path.

Most of this loop was good fun - a clear path with some very mild scrambling and nice views. The last part (when you first go over the ladder into the fields from the Ranger Path) becomes extremely boggy and doesn’t make for a good end to an otherwise great trail.

Overall a great trail. I really liked the Rhyd Ddu path, it seemed much quieter compared to the other routes up to Snowdon that I have done. The end of the route (where you go off from the ranger path) was extremely muddy / boggy, if we would have known we probably would have continued down the ranger path and walked along the road to the car. (I think there’s a pub on the way too so you could break up the road walk!)

In my opinion the best route up Snowdon, quiet with not a lot of other hikers and a little testing in places

Nice quiet route up to the summit. Only saw a handful of people on the way up. Excellent views looking back west toward Rhyd-Ddu. Very crowded at the top but it was a weekend and various events on. Fantastic views at the top when it's clear.

Great trail, not as difficult as I thought it would be. Completed in around 5-6 hours. Parking opposite YHA, £5 all day.

Beautiful landscape, not the easiest track but worthy. Windy and cold at the top.

Great walk. Definitely quieter than other routes. It was certainly steep on Rhyd Ddu on the way up but nothing that someone moderately fit couldn't handle. The climb to the summit is a bit narrow, we got stuck behind a slow group. The wind was pretty biting towards the top. On the way down be careful not to follow the Ranger path all the way, look out for the ladder over the fence to the left and before the gate which is the way down the Ranger path. We went the wrong way because GPS didn't update on the app and we added an extra 2 miles to our walk to get back to the car park.

Amazing views but really hard wouldn’t recommend taking young children but I would most definitely do it again.

A superb way up Snowdon, great views, very quiet compared to the Llanberis side of the hill, no problem with parking and a great pub in Rhyd-Ddu One small thing though, please don’t call it Mount Snowdon, it’s never that but always just Snowdon
