Très jolie randonnée bien qu'une partie soit hors sentier balisé et difficile à suivre. Very beautiful trail even if a part is out of official pass and not easy to follow.

Easy to follow path from Ogwen Cottage. Big boulder slabs walking to the lake, gravel trail path around lake. Different everyday.

We tried twice to hike Snowdon but due to weather conditions and closed roads from both sides of the mountain we were unable to. This was the perfect alternative given the lateness in the day. The views are gorgeous and you get to see a little bit of everything on this easy-to-moderate hike. I recommend going counterclockwise once you reach the lake. The climb going up the mountain (especially in the rain) is much easier because of the steepness of the rocks, whereas I imagine that if you were trying to go down the rocks on that side it would be much more treacherous. Going down the mountain counterclockwise was very easy as there was more gravel and a smoother path. As a bonus, there is a small welcome center, bathrooms, and a little cafe at the parking lot where we warmed up with some hot chocolate after the hike.

I would recommend this trail for any age. I have been with a 3 year old and 13 year old and they loved it equally. They both said it was the highlight of there day.

Really scenic hike that is relatively easy to do around the lake. If you decide to go past the lake up towards Devils Kitchen then I’d probably rate this route more towards moderate and less child friendly as there’s a bit of scrambling/climbing to do.

Prachtige wandeling en heel goed te doen met stoere kids. Heel veel kleine en grote riviertjes met watervalletjes. Auto kun je bij het begin parkeren voor een klein bedrag. Topwandeling!

This is a lovely easy walk, my daughters enjoy it at 4 and 6 years. They do the easier loop, without going to the higher point at the back. That does make the walk slightly more tricky!Although we didn't exactly follow the path. I love the views.

Really nice hike. Weather was really poor so we ended cutting this walk short and cutting across before the main incline (at the end of the lake). Fairly easy walk if you do this.

Great walk. I take my 5 year old boy on this regularly for over a year. He loves it. Bit of scramble off the path too again which he loves.

Good little walk with steady path on a dry day. With little pastries stall at the foot.

You can take the easy road by simply circling the lake at lake level (very easy road) or you can climb up towards devils kitchen and make a slightly larger circle (this hike). There are some places you need to use your hands to scramble over some rocks (north-west part of the walk) but the view up there is beautiful and if you take your time it is doable for most people and you’ll still feel nicely challenged on the hike. Would rate it easy to moderate, but only moderate for a very small part.

Beautiful scenery had an amazing time. Didn't do the whole trail as there was a ram at the top my dog took a disliking to but still completed a loop. The rocky cliffs remind me of the rock monsters from the never ending story.
