Tafarn-y-Garreg car park and get onto the Beacons Way Track along the ridges of Fan Hir and Fan Brycheiniog. Keep the ridge to your left and eventually you will reach Llyn y Fan Fach lake. You will need to cross a few streams so either running shoes that dry quickly or waterproof boots may be good options. This hike also takes you to Fan Brycheiniog, which, at 802m, is the tallest point in the Black Mountains. The Tafarn-y-Garreg pub will be waiting for you upon your return.

I did this walk quite randomly. Someone put me onto this app, and look forward to doing more. This walk was a lovely walk, especially as there was snow at the top. The last section however, was tough going, because there wasn't an actual clear path. It took me 4 hours 50 mins. Saying that, I'm not the fastest walker, and stopped to take in the views and take photos. Excuse for a rest haha
