easy hike, mostly flat. Once you get to the natural bridge there is a trail that will take you up to the top of it, and has a very beautiful view

Easy walk on a paved path to the natural bridge

Must See, its short but pretty

This is a great trail to do if your time is short. It's only a couple of miles and the bridge is really fun to see. I'd you are limited to easy trails you can get to the point where you cab see the bridge no problem. The trail looping up behind the bridge is the moderate part.

We started at the trailhead next to the road and walked out to the natural bridge. It’s paved which was disappointing but the natural bridge is awe-inspiring. We walked up the stream to the top and found another trail that leads to the actual top of the bridge. You can’t walk across it but there is a trail around it to see the opposite side. This looped around and rejoined the original trail at the bottom. We saw a marmot run across the bridge from the bottom and that was pretty cool. Easy trail and big payoff for little effort.

Awesome hike on 3ft packed snow. May 28, 2019. Hiked it again without snow. Took the loop on top of the bridge. I really enjoyed the view

Nice and easy hike. Very flat. Right now there is a foot to three feet of snow on the trail. I got lucky and didn't posthole much. If you plan to hike in the next few weeks, bring snow shoes just in case (again it's melting fast). The bridge was scenic, but not the most spectacular. Fresh bison poo near the creek at the bridge. Some bear scratches on trees. My pace was slow as it was hard to find the buried trail at first and I was taking pictures. I would recommend this hike for the inexperienced hiker, just make sure you're on the trail!

I hiked this trail on 08/30. Weather was warm and dry. This trail is mostly a rough-paved road that leads into the Natural Bridge area. Would be a good bike ride. There is no major elevatin gains, until the bridge itself. You can climb up to the base, and even up in behind. There is a little info post at the bottom of that section of trail with info about natural arches, and a little history on this natural bridge. It was a nice walk, good stretch for my legs before my next hike. I spent some time with an incredibly fat marmot before heading back to my car.

This hike is mainly along a paved road and that was a big disappointment to me as I love traditional trails. I would rate it higher if that wasn’t the case. Once you get to the bridge, it becomes a dirt trail. The climb up to the bridge will get your heart rate pumping for a few minutes, but it’s worth it for the view from the top!

Easy hike but definitely recommend. We saw a total of 5 people the entire hike. It's 100% worth it to go all the way to the top when you get to the bridge. You can't stand on it but you can see it from the backside and it's a really cool perspective.... it was a very peaceful and tranquil hike. At least for late September...

very pretty with lots of shade in the forest. Not too difficult and the land bridge was pretty.

I actually really liked this hike. It's pretty easy and gives a neat geological feature at the end that you can hike up to. I recommend it if you're looking for something to take up part of your afternoon.

Easy hour long hike! Great views from the bridge and only a little bit steep near the top.

The trail to Natural Bridge is relatively short and easy, although the trail up to this unique feature itself is pretty steep. The hike from the trailhead to the base of Natural Bridge is a pleasant stroll through the forest. Lots of manhours have obviously been spent building the rock stairs and retaining walls behind Natural Bridge. After crossing the slender creek and climbing up the other side, continue on the trail as it switchbacks its way down the hillside and rejoins the main trail. Although the views from behind Natural Bridge are interesting, the best views are from below. This is prime bear country, so don’t hit the trail without your bear spray – and know how to use it.

Great biking trail. Marmots and a fisher seen just below the natural bridge

Easy walk at the bottom which paved/gravel road which later becomes a trail. Went in the morning and only saw three other small groups on the trail. Bison near the trail head and saw bear sign but no bear. Tiny chipmunks and red squirrels everywhere.

Basically walking on a road the whole way. The arch is interesting, but not amazing.

Easy hike to a real natural bridge. Did not climb up the bridge as we had little ones with us and it is discouraged. We did see a family of yellow-bellied marmots at the bridge site. These are supposedly kind of rare to see but we must have came across particularly brave group as they came right up to us for a closer look.

I enjoyed this little hike. It was the only actual hike I went on in Yellowstone. The rest of the time I walked the boardwalks.

Sunday, July 20, 2014

This is another good little hike if you want to get away from the boardwalks in the park. It follows some of the old original roads through the park that most visitors today never see (or even know about.) The trail is mostly shaded and easy enough for the whole family. Other than some chipmunks, we didn't see a lot of wildlife.

While the hike itself isn't fantastic by any means since it's on a paved road the majority of the time, the destination of Natural Bridge is worth every step. Crazy that they used to drive over this thing

Cool site - easy hike. Steep climb at the end but it's short so you get there pretty quick.
