Hiked this on 8/31/19. Gratifying views of the valley come early on, and stay mostly visible all the way up. The 360 view at the top is stunning...especially because the only evidence of civilization is the dirt road you came in on, and the remains of the shelter you’re standing on. We didn’t see anyone the entire trip up and back. The first 3.2 miles shown on the AllTrails map is a driveable road (at least when we went).

We hiked this on July 2, 2019. The trail head from the road is about 3.8 miles to the summit, but we lost the trail in the snow drifts as we got close to 10000’ - that necessitated climbing up the rocky slopes until we found a small trail along the ridge that led to Wyoming Peak. Where there was no snow, the trail was in very good condition for hiking and did not seem too steep, except for the last climb to the summit. Might try this again in a few weeks or in August.

Nice day hike. The trailhead is a little hard to find, just after a sharp corner of the dirt road. Wyo Peak is the North peak with the broken down fire lookout building. Amazing views on a clear day.
