Wind River Range Traverse is a 79.2 mile moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Dubois, Wyoming that features a lake and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Having hiked a lot a lot, this trip was unbelievable. Everything you could ask for in a backpacking trip. Incredible views, wildflowers, wildlife, solitude, good trails, no trails and so much more. Would definitely recommend, however it is very demanding. Mentally and physically tough.

I agree with Gwion. This is an amazing once in a lifetime experience. Make sure that allow enough time and don't try to do too much. We took 9 days to complete but planned for 10 days. Some of the days are very demanding and you sill not get the miles you think you can do. The altitude will also slow you down
