Tips

An off trail hike to a beautiful set of multiple waterfalls. Best approached from the east on FR122 - the western route needs high clearance and has multiple stream/marsh crossings.

Be sure to check out the abandoned cabin off of FR128. For accessing the lower falls, from the brink backtrack slightly and head southeast over the small hill and head southwest along the next drainage.

NEED HIGH CLEARANCE VEHICLE. We could not actually access trail, only made it about halfway down the road (122 off 14) before bottoming out and getting stuck. This is not a rating of the trail since I did not hike it, just wanted to warn potential hikers.

Parked at the old cabin and tried to find a trail but just followed the alltrails map...basically bushwhacked most of it and occasionally would see a very very faint trail. But following the creek will get you there. cliff drop off at the end. Pretty area, just wish there was a better trail. I would not take kids or dogs.

Where to start....we never were able to find the trailhead. We made our way threw the meadow and kind of followed the creek down. There were a few small falls but nothing major. We eventually climbed threw all the rocks to get out. It was an interesting hike to say the least.

Hard to locate an actual trail, but high mountain prairie start, so easy to walk toward noticeable draw, creek and falls. We (family with 6 & 9 year-olds) made it about 2/3 way down All Trails description. Saw several 5-35 foot falls as we route scrambled around creeks. Without kids, might have Rick-slide scrambled down trail further but not worth the risk with kids.
