Only did the upper and lower portions while the kids did the whole loop. I brought them lunch at artist point. The views were great! The trails are a little crowded, but that was expected.

the upper falls was closed but we hiked the lower falls which was a simple hike with a beautiful view.

Beautiful trail. South rim is still closed from the starting marker on here, but you can pick it up from the Uncle Tom's parking area. Uncle Tom's was still closed too.

Best to go in late August. Going in the middle of summer you will share this trail with hundreds of other people. To crowded in the heart of summer.

Easy walking trail though you might get a bit winded. We walked down to lower falls but could also see the upper falls. Fantastic view!! Worth it. Lower falls has a platform right at the falls so you can be at the edge and see the water go over, super cool!

Closures really put a damper on our hike but we were still able to see all 3 falls from afar! Gorgeous views the whole hike.

The Upper Falls were closed so I was only able to hike the Lower. It’s steep in places and I travel with my preschooler so with the crowd of people and the edge of the trail dropping off abruptly in spots it was a bit nerve racking. The end result is absolutely amazing. Breathtaking. My sons enjoyed seeing the rainbow over the fall.

South Rim is closed at the moment. We were only able to go out to Artist View overlook.

Did both north and south rim. Did this after hike on Mt washborn in the morning and was a fantastic day moderate rating may be fair but also Points a bit to the easier side in spots. Fun and most anyone can enjoy this

This was my best hike in Yellowstone that is a must do. The waterfalls looks spectacular and beautiful. I have not seen something like it before.

I went on this trail during the 4th of July weekend so it was very packed with people. It was still an amazing experience and the views were great! There were multiple places to get great views and being able to get right next to the water flowing over really showed how powerful this waterfall was.

Great trail! Be aware, part of the trail between bridge over S Rim Dr and beginning of Uncle Tom's Trail is closed for construction (in July 2017 at least).

We started this trail at the Wasili Lake trailhead and took the Clear Lake Branch. We took the trail past Clear Lake through an awesome Geo Thermal area and then connected with the lower rim trail. We then continued to Point Sublime and then turned back to Artist Point. The trail along the Canyon was very heavily trafficked as opposed to the Clear Lake part of the trail which was incredibly serene. Also there is construction in the Toms Cabin portion of the lower rim and the trail does not connect back down near the Original trailhead. We had to hike the last mile along the road. The main issues with this trail were construction and all the people.

The south rim trail is a great way to experience the Canyon, which was one of our favorite parts of Yellowstone. There are great views of the waterfalls, and the trek down the steep stairs of Uncle Tom's Trail gives another vantage and is worth checking out.

This trail was amazing. I did it when there was still some snow on the ground in the month of June. was very muddy and wet, but well worth it. Amazing views all around. Very crowded area at times.

Great views of the canyon. Definitely worth the hike. There are plenty of benches to rest on if you're worried about the intensity/elevation gain.

The views of the falls are absolutely stunning. Some of the biggest waterfalls that I've seen, and with the trail system you can get super close to the falls.

Favorite hike we did in Yellowstone, easy hike and great views of the falls and "Grand Canyon" you don't get from just the main overlooks

Great falls and views of the canyon - just walked the overlooks since the trails were closed due to bear activity.
