Short hike with spectacular and seldom seen views of Upper and Lower Undine Falls from the north side. From Mammoth, trailhead is at Lava Creek Bridge. Park in the lot and cross over bridge to trail on the left. Best view of the falls is from the deck half a mile before Lava Creek.

couldn't see the lower falls. overall nice hike pretty views

pretty good trail with an excellent overlook of the falls, hiked during a snowstorm, really makes everything seem surreal

Thank you Mary Cascio for the tip on finding the trailhead! The lower part of the trail by the creek was either so overgrown as to not be found or we are just shabby city folk who can’t follow a trail! The map indicated we were on it but could not make our way forward. Upper part was fine. A bit narrow and grassy. Great view of falls!

Most of the trail is flat and easy to navigate but the last .5 mile or so is fairly steep. The upper falls was nice enough but not as impressive as some of the other falls. The lower part is also nice but it's a ways away and since you stop halfway down the Lava Creek Trail (the true name of the trail), it's easy to miss. I would recommend binoculars if you want to see it. Overall I enjoyed it.
