Okay trail. We shot off and did some exploring so ended up being 10miles. We did see 2 bison, so that was cool. Also, lots of horse crap was on the trail so that was annoying. If I did this hike again, I’d just hike to the Hoodoo’s and hang out there and explore then head back. Wouldn’t do the whole loop unless I wanted to offshoot to one of the nearby mountains

Wear long pants. Although the walking path is well worn the brush on both sides cover the path in places. Mosquitoes are bad in places so long sleeves and repellent are also in order.

Hiked the trail clockwise, which I do recommend, as you start in a sagebrush meadow and end with the Hoodoos - a climactic ending! Views are fantastic, with lots of animal sign, but we only saw a few marmots, which was fine. The trail is quite exposed for most of the journey do plan accordingly with sunscreen and water on hot summer days. Really enjoyed this hike as it just kept getting better with all the varied terrains.

We didnt like this trail. First part is just walking accross a meadow. Then it was all muddy and entering woods we definitely heard noises like bear noises and we got scared because we didnt carry any bear spray (which was terribly wrong). We went quickly through the woods to reach the main road on which we dangerouly walk to our car. Also, ive lost my sunglasses. Go for bear spray definitely.

This hike had a little bit of everything. Beautiful meadows at the beginning with views of Electric Peak, through the woods where we felt the need to yell for bears, along a steep section looking at Busen, and through the hoodoos as well. This trail was pretty overgrown when we hiked it (summer 2018) and we passed through groves of huckleberry bushes, so we were sure to make a lot of noise and kept the bear spray handy. We never saw another soul on the trail. Overall a fun time, but the bears were definitely nearby!!!

7/2/18. 11:08. On a Monday. Got 3 miles in and came across a pair of bison. One bison seemed aggravated and briefly trotted directly at us. This turned our loop into an out-and-back. Peaceful hike with lots of tiny butterflies and wildflowers throughout.

Great loop with lots of varried terrain. Open plains with grazing Bison, right to Snow Pass with elk bones and bald eagles. Once you come to the first intersection you start to see stones everywhere with signs of an ancient sea bed and a random crevass so deep we couldn't see the bottom, a birch grove, a steep, long section with awesome views of MtBunson and the valley below, a narrow low visibility section where you feel the need to clap for bears often, but then opens up to the Hoodoos where we saw pikas and deer and kept an eye out for Mountain lion. Finished in about 2.5 hrs, taking photos and checking everything out. Great 7 mile hike!
