Hiked this with my family on Independence Day 2020. Took us just over an hour to complete with a few breaks to enjoy the view and take pictures. A few bugs along the grassy part of the hike and some rocks throughout. Only came across a couple ATVers. Would recommend.
Independence Day hike with my family. Nice views of Laramie Peak and surrounding mountains. Only came across 2 ATVers and no other hikers along the way
Great short loop trail. Elevation was negligible and there are some loose rocks in spots. Views are good and ample shade. Lots of cut/slash piles due to thinning or the pine beetles I assume. Saw a good many wildflowers which was nice. I definitely rate this as an easy hike and there are plenty of shady spots to stop if you need a break or to take in the views.
We like this hike. Has a lot of ups and not too many downs. Very wooded area with a lot of rocks to climb on. Great views of nearby mountains. There isn’t an easy way to get there. Minimum of 10 miles of gravel roads to get there. Keep going south afterward and you will run into mountain creeks and it is awesome. No facilities for bathroom. Great hike
