Great trail over Memorial Day weekend. It was snowing and very wet, but I plan to go up in a month or so to try it when it is dry and warmer! Nice trail, a little rocky but not as bad as expected. Lots of shade, as you mostly will walk in the trees. Plenty of places to spread out and hang out by the lake!

Nice hike, not too difficult. I would rate it on the easy end of moderate. The hike itself is not too scenic, but the lake is beautiful. The trail is rocky in parts, so you need to watch your step so you don't trip and fall or twist an ankle. We went a little further to the left of the lake on the trail, apparently goes a few more miles, but we turned around.

This can be completed as a lollipop to Sherd Lake Loop trail 46. You can find a map that can take you all the way around. Ends up being about 10.5 miles total. I just started hiking and I love this trail.

I’m not sure how this is different than Circle Park Trail, you begin them both at Circle Park and hike to Sherd Lake. It’s a steep, well marked trail with several other people around. About 2/3 up you come across a pond, then a bit further are twin lakes covered in lily pads. Just beyond those lakes is Sherd lake where there were several small groups of people fishing or just enjoying the view. We turned around but about a mile beyond Sherd is another lake. Overall it’s very beautiful, not too strenuous hike. Will do again.

Very easy to follow trail. Good elevation gain up to Sherd Lake. We set up camp here before continuing to Otter Lake, also an easy trail to follow.

Short hike to a lake with a nice view. A little elevation gain on the way to the lake but nothing really tough. The way back is mostly downhill and relatively easy.

Nice easy hike to a small pretty lake. We did this hike with about 7 kids (ages 4-12) and they did great. Took just about a hour up to the lake. My GPS said 1.75 miles to the lake. Rocky and uphill but still manageable for kids. Easy downhill hiking on the way back. This also connects with a few others trails, would love to continue on sometime and see the other Lakes in the area.
