Sheep Mountain Trail is a 12.7 mile lightly trafficked point-to-point trail located near Laramie, Wyoming that offers scenic views and is rated as difficult. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from March until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Directions from Laramie: North End; Travel 26 miles southwest on State Hwy. 230 and 2.5 miles NW on Forest Road #311.South End; Travel 24 miles west on State Highway 130 and 2 miles southwest on State Highway 11.

Hit the trail in late August, little two day outing. Day 1 to the top was fine, great views from the top on the morning of the second day. Day 2 pretty rough on the way out, trail hard to follow with down timber, no water, long out to highway 130.
