pretty, easy hike which is near airport. good one to do if you get in late and want to hit a quick hike. recommend continuing through the clearing and across a small stream through the dry riverbed toward the tree line to reach snake river so you can see all of the tetons

Even with some cloud cover, this was an awesome morning sunrise walk. Highly recommend getting there early because some folks were camped with cameras in the best spot and unmoving to let the rest of us in. We just went a bit further and still had beautiful morning color on the mountains.

Couldn’t make it here for sunrise, but sunset was amazing as well. The sunsets behind the Tetons so they get dark quickly. Great reflection photos and was not crowded at all (Monday night).

Beautiful and picturesque view of the Tetons. We looked and saw no evidence of beavers. I was disappointed about that. However, we did stumble across a female moose feeding near the stream just past the most trafficked path (past the last bench where the turn to go it to the Snake River).

Easy trail with intermittent shade and great picture opportunities of Grand Teton mountain overlooking the stream and Snake River. Trail gets a little hard to find as you go around the bend but just follow the dry river bed and you’ll go through a grove of trees and get to Snake River at the end.

This is not so much a hiking trail as it is a trail to get a great pic of the Teton’s at sunrise...at least for me :) via google maps, you can easily find this place, and there's a parking lot and an outhouse there. What makes this spot picture perfect is when the sun rises, it hits the Teton's and just lights them up. We were there on a cloudless morning, so we didn't see much color variation BUT there was plenty of snow on the Tetons when we were there and the sun shining on them from it's rise was just beautiful...as the day goes on, you won't get that sunlight...So this would only be an early morning stop for me. Ok, here's what I suggest doing. About a 1/2 mile down the path is the "picturesque" spot where the evergreens naturally frame Grand Teton and at sunrise, the river is still and when the sun rises you get that beautiful reflection on Grand Teton on the still river...a great view, there's benches there, it's pretty obvious where it is. HOWEVER we were there at low season and there were still like 6 photographers and their tripods and equipment fighting for space to get the shot. SO, what we did was downloaded the ALL TRAILS app and there's specifically a schwabacher's landing trail. Following it ALL THE WAY to the end. About a mile from the parking lot the trail forks to either a well trafficked trail going up (right) and a horse thin not so trafficked trail going left...take the LEFT, not so trafficked trail, you'll end up crossing a little stream and then it opens up to about a 30 foot dry river bed and you'll be totally lost without the app trail, keep going across the river bed, through the tree line on the opposite side and it opens up on the river's bend to a much grander view of ALL the Teton's, not just Grand Teton, you'll have that huge space to yourself, I'd set up a timelapse go pro and just enjoy the sunrise from there and get some shots with your iphone or other camera, this sunrise is so great that any camera would make brilliant photos. and then on your way back, the photographers will of already gotten their shots and left from the evergreen framed spot and you'll get your shot there too. We also went on from there to Mormon Row (less than a 10 min drive) and the sun was still at a great angle to get great shots of the Mormon Barn. All together you have about 1.5 hrs of good sunrise light to get great shots of both Schwabachers and Mormon Barn...if you're early birds :)

Trail isn't well marked towards the end. Take the trail to the left that isn't as obvious.

We arrived 30 minutes before sunrise and it was so worth it. There are three “picture points” right in the beginning where you can get the beautiful reflection of the Tetons off of the water. Stop here and take that picture while the water is so still. The end of the trail isn’t marked so this app was a life saver. KEEP GOING TO THE END! The sunrise on the mountains overlooking the river is worth it!

Make sure to use AllTrails towards the end of this hike if you want to finish it. The trail is VERY misleading towards the end, and you have to take the path that is less worn. Towards the very end of the hike, we were not on a path and relied on AllTrails to finish it.

We hiked about a half mile to the north and saw two female moose just hanging out. One walked into the river then ate leaves. They were there for a while despite the on and off rain sprinkles. This was around 3pm today 10-2-18

Easy trail. Not very well marked at the end. Had to turn back. Still nice spot for lunch and beautiful views of the Tetons.

Crowded but worthwhile. The main traffic thinned out after .5 mile or so. Tons of fish and a swan. Easy strolling. .

Beautiful views of the Teton, can see where all the beavers have been to work. Very quick and very easy to get to, definitely worth the stop.

Easy, scenic trail for families who want to see a lot in a short walk: beautiful stream, beaver pond, the Tetons, deer, waterfowl, the occasional moose, elk, bison, eagles, trout. Fantastic place - my wife and I renewed our vows along this trail in 2005 with the same judge that married us in 1992.
