good trail for family. variety of canyon views, woods, and lake meadow. we saw doe and 2 fawns at the lake.
It's 2 miles from Artist's Point to Ribbon Lake (4 round trip). You walk along the south rim of the canyon with great views for about 1/2 mile, pass a lily pond and walk through what felt like an enchanted forest. Lots of Mosquitos, but it was a nice hike.
A nice trail, great views of the lower falls and the canyon, There were 2 lakes on the way. You must take bug spray they were bad. We saw only 4 people on the trail once we were a half mile out. You can find a good place to sit along the canyon and enjoy the views.
