Parking at South Jenny Lake is extremely limited during the 2018 summer season. Plan on arriving early, before 9:00 am, or plan to visit late in the day, after 4:00 pm to have the best chance of finding a parking space.

We did this the week of the total solar eclipse and caught a glimpse of a moose.

Easy trail- we hiked early this morning when it was sprinkling. No moose, no bears and only met other hikers when we were leaving. Enjoyed the quiet. Later saw 5 moose off Moose-Wilson road and hwy 22 in Jackson. LOL.

Pretty trail...rated Moderate but an easy moderate

Hiked moose pond loop early afternoon. Observed/ photoed bull moose feeding in pond. Later thru meadow area, was surprised by and photoed another bull moose emerging from brush. Few mid sept hikers on full loop, most stop at pond and return to hidden falls trail. Meadow trail unmarked can be challenging to follow at times although not far from parking has a remote feeling about it and look of good bear habitat. Very enjoyable hike. Bear spray raises comfort level w this trail.

There is so much nicer around there. Do only if limited in how much you can walk.

Beautiful trail and view of the mountains. Didn't see any moose, but came upon two black bears while on the hike. First one was on the trail as we were descending down the hill towards the pond. After it went away we decided not to continue and went back on the Jenny Lake trail towards the boat dock. We came upon another black bear crossing the trail ahead of us. Thankfully neither bear bothered us. Definitely be aware of bears and make noise! Around the east side of the lake going north is also beautiful view.

We went about to the first pond when we saw a bear on the trail. It didn't bother us and eventually went off the trail.
We didn't feel comfortable moving forward so we turned back on the Jenny Lake Trail towards the boat dock. Along that trail we saw another bear cross the trail about 30 to 40 yards away. Again it didn't bother us. Great experience even if it was short. Definitely be Bear Aware and make noise!

The parking lot is very busy, you need to come early. We missed a sign at the beginning of the trail, but it's a really nice and easy hike. Overlooks on Jenny Lake and Hidden Falls. We spotted an elk, 2 minks and a momma moose with a baby. Awesome!

Simple hike. We were hoping to see some wildlife which supposedly is often here. We did see two bear cubs in a tree right by Jenny Lake at start of hike. If you do full loop you have a really awesome view of the peaks but walk quite a ways in sage brush. This area is also part of Jenny Lake which is a great spot in the Tetons.

Really quiet and beautiful. Easy hike we just went to the ponds and back after doing the hidden falls trail...nice peaceful place to rest.

Great varying landscapes with beautiful vistas. A good starter or in-between hike. It was quiet and secluded throughout almost the entire hike.

Nice family hike. The last half of the loop is in open meadow, not as pretty as the first half of the hike. Next time I will hike as far as the pond and then turn around and retrace my steps.

Nice hike around some beaver ponds. If was the perfect hike for a five-year old who made it the entire way. We stopped at lake to throw some rocks and then at the ponds for some stick throwing. The last third of the trail is through some meadows which had a large herd of pronghorn sheep.

I've been on this trail a few times, it;s nice, short and easy. Walked right up on my first bull moose here, and every visit since I've always run into something here.
