To get to the trailhead, I would recommend a 4wd high-clearance vehicle for Ehlin Road. ATVs we saw could not believe we took a Subaru Outback up the road. Trailhead was not marked, and the trail was muddy and mosquito-infested. After hiking for 30 minutes, the trail split into two plowed firebreaks that did not match the Alltrails track we downloaded. It looks like USFS Road 307 would be a shorter and better route to start on. Apparently, there is another Miner's Cabin Trail (not labelled on AllTrails ) off of Tipple Trail, which was the one we were hoping to hike.

The actual hiking trail is more of a 4-Wheeler or Jeep road, pretty boring hike up. However, the cabin and the views from the top were really neat.
