Amazing trail and the lake tucked up on the last climbed hill felt like a well deserved view. As others mentioned it is all up and down. Make sure you’ll keep your energy for the way back.

The meadows and wildflowers are some of the best parts of this hike. You could also do this hike via Granite Canyon and I would think it would be the same level of difficulty. it is a lot of ups and downs which got annoying with the elevation but it is very isolated up there.

Even though the tram cuts out 6.6 miles, it's still a very strenous hike with a lot of elevation changes. Marion lake is a beautiful high elevation lake tucked up next to a limestone wall. The wildflowers surounding the lake are especially nice here. This loop has a lot of junctions in it. So, just use a little bit of caution.
