The trail is completely gone... no elk or wildlife either during our 2 hours in the refuge visible.

We took the more obvious trail that leads north and up. We took the small game trail to the right that runs midway along the cliffy part and scrambled up to the top of the cliffs (proper scramble!) and did a loop back down to parking. Amazing and short (however not the trail in the map) and technical. Also there are hunters out so wear bright orange!

Short, very steep in parts. The trails goes around the front of the mesa...there is a smaller game trail along the side of the ridge that should be avoided and ends in a sheer face. Excellent views at the top
