Took my six year old in for a little fishing the trail is fairly rocky but not terrible. Make sure to bring bug spray.

This was a neat trail, but I would definitely not consider it easy. It would be in the moderate category. Most of the trail was very rocky and there is a pretty steady, long incline right at the beginning. We didn’t end up going to the second lake...we had our 6 & 7 year old with us and the mosquitoes were getting a bit bad. We ran into a few other groups, but for the most part had this trail to ourselves for the majority of the time. The trail is well marked. Bring lots of bug spray and really good hiking shoes with ankle support (those rocks could twist an ankle pretty easy).

Beautiful trail, well maintained. There's a lake leading up to it that's a great lunch spot. Ended up wandering over to Ringbone. The off trail hiking had a lot of downed trees and boulders - but the view was worth it. - Jun 11

Camped at Circle Park campground and hiked up to Long Lake. It took about 90 min to reach the lake with a few melting snow drifts that presented no issues. There were a few logs that allowed me to cross the creek without getting wet. Nice little day hike.

Did this hike a few years ago in June 2016 and it was beautiful. Wet crossing at the Oliver creek at that time.

Good trail for a day hike.

My first thought in reviewing this hike was that it was ‘moderate’ in effort. It’s a far cry from ‘easy.’ The trail was scattered the entire way with lots of rocks, and there were some uphill climbs followed by flat parts. Basically if you haven’t hiked in awhile, your legs and feet might be sore the next day. With that said, the hike was gorgeous and the lakes were pristine. You start at the parking lot on 46 until you see the cutoff for trail 47. You do not see trail 47 until you pass the first lake which is Sherd Lake. Stay to the right on the trail that continues to a fork which you must follow 91 (take the trail to the left) to find Lost Lake. We did the whole route in about 2.5 hours with some time at Lost Lake for lunch.

Great hike, from Sherd Lake, take a right continue on until 47 and then left on 91. Long Lake was beautiful, one river crossing but pretty easy hike!
