My first thought in reviewing this hike was that it was ‘moderate’ in effort. It’s a far cry from ‘easy.’ The trail was scattered the entire way with lots of rocks, and there were some uphill climbs followed by flat parts. Basically if you haven’t hiked in awhile, your legs and feet might be sore the next day. With that said, the hike was gorgeous and the lakes were pristine. You start at the parking lot on 46 until you see the cutoff for trail 47. You do not see trail 47 until you pass the first lake which is Sherd Lake. Stay to the right on the trail that continues to a fork which you must follow 91 (take the trail to the left) to find Lost Lake. We did the whole route in about 2.5 hours with some time at Lost Lake for lunch.

Great hike, from Sherd Lake, take a right continue on until 47 and then left on 91. Long Lake was beautiful, one river crossing but pretty easy hike!
