This trail was very nice. Great views of the lake met some really nice people too. The parking is difficult but just keeping driving around until you find a spot because it’s definitely worth it.

Great trail! As always, the North Jenny Lake entrance parking lots are a nightmare, but be patience or come really early or really late. Once you get out of the congested area by the picnic area, you barely see anyone on this trail. We walked about 2.5 miles from parking lot and found a little “beach cove” area, and just enjoyed the view and water for a while. Easy but very rewarding hike with water views most of the trail.

An easy and less-traveled trail with gorgeous views and wildlife (in the evening). We started the trail at 5:00 pm and there were plenty of parking spots available in the lot. The trail begins at String Lake and then follows it all the way to Leigh Lake. Along the trail, we saw several species of water fowl, chipmunks, squirrels, deer, and a red fox. The trail offers plenty of access points to both String and Leigh lakes for wading or swimming. Bring water shoes!

We were taking it easy after a full week so selected this flat trip to Leigh lake then Bearpaw. Arrived around 8 and still plenty of parking. Lake was dead still so got amazing photos of all the peaks reflecting perfectly in the lake from several vantage points. Nice relaxing walk around the lake. We walked up to Bearpaw but after all the lakes from our week here it was underwhelming and we bailed on the last half mile to Trapper. No animals and not very crowded at all.

Great relaxing trail to soak in the views of the mountains and the crystal clear lakes. Got there at 9:30 and I think we got the last parking spot out of the three parking lots. No street parking allowed so you need to get there early to get a spot. Lots of families with young children playing in the water or floating on kayaks and paddle boards. Cinnamon black bear near the Leigh Lake Portage. (Just above where String and Leigh connect). Carry bear spray on all of the trails in the Tetons.

Great for young families. Flat, well-marked, scenic and usually plenty of other groups without being too busy. Pack a lunch and some floats to enjoy the summer days on/by the water.

Easy hike. It's a nice short hike if you're a fan of walking along the lake. Parking is crowded after 9 am. We did see a juvenile cinnamon black bear.

Beautiful, easy trail with amazing views of Mount Moran. Great reflections of the mountains at String and Leigh lake. Make sure you pack bear spray and bug spray because those enormous mosquitoes will carry you off!! I sprayed before getting on the trail and twice more after that!! Spray and you'll be ok .

Great trail along the edge of the lake. We hiked from the string lakes to about half way up the shore of Leigh lake. On our return, we had a run in with a grizzly. Take bear spray! We didn't have any and this is the second visit to the tetons where we have found a bear on the trails. Next time we will have bear spray. The grizzly was around 200 feet from us.

It would be a nice trail if it weren’t mosquito infested! Beautiful scenery, way too many bugs. At one point there were 12 on the back of my husband!

Beautiful hike along a flat trail that offers spectacular views of the mountains. Not an overly congested trail which made the hike all the more enjoyable.

We got to the trailhead at 8am and there was no one here. we hiked 2.5 miles in and stopped at the beach, which is utterly beautiful with clear water and white sandy beaches, and saw a huge grizzly 100 meters down the shoreline. It was only there briefly, but it was so cool. we hiked the 2.5 back, and there were so many people coming up the trail. we ended at about 10:30am. Get here before 10 if you want any parking.

The views for this hike are gorgeous. But according to this app and many other things this trail is 1.8 miles, I don’t know if I missed something, but my daughter and I ended up hiking 7.5 miles.

A very peaceful and easy hike. Fantastic views and little beaches and stops along the way. A great choice for those that have limitations on hikes - this is one of the easiest paths to hike.
