I have done this trail twice now, once in summer again this October. Beautiful during the autumn. The colours are gorgeous hiking around the lake, there is a waterfall off the side along the way, then you can hike up to inspiration point itself. Lovely and not too challenging.

If you’re trying to cut mileage but still enjoy the beauty of the hike — it’s nice to take the ferry one way, hike up to Inspiration point, and take the shorter South end of the Jenny Lake Trail back. The hike along the lake is lovely since you are pretty much right next to it for most of the lake perimeter hike, and the majority of it is flat. If you don’t like hiking, then sticking to the round trip boat ride works as well.

Awesome area. Get there early by hiking around Jenny Lake. We saw a Moose on the trail from Jenny Lake.

Pretty crowded by mid-morning, but it was a nice view at the top and a good workout going up.

Very busy parking area even on a week day. Inspiration point has great views over the whole lake. Walk on after Inspiration point and into Cascade Canyon to escape the many crowds. Most will get the boat shuttle over and back without going further than Inspiration or the Falls. Worth the trip but it is busy. We took the boat over and walked back around the lake. $10 for 1 way boat trip or $18 for a return ticket.

Great hike, hiked in from Jenny Lake trail, got there around 0630. No issues parking, made it to Inspiration Point shortly after sunrise. switchbacks can get steep. Good hike I continued on into Cascade Canyon.

Hiking around string lake and jenny lake is beautiful, easy walking paths and then a short way up to get to the falls. Area by the falls/boat docks is super busy most times of the day. The falls are huge nearby and the view from the point is great. Boats running back n forth till 4 pm during the day 10 bucks each way basically vs walking around the lakes to get there.

Nice short hike with a good view at the end. The final hike up will get you breathing hard, but it’s not too bad. The view of the lake at the top is good. Please note that the parking lot fills up very quickly.

We did this trail with a 3yo hiking up (in backpack on the way down) and a 1yo in a carrier. Many were not wearing masks on the trail but were respectful in distancing to the extent possible - areas of the trail are fairly narrow. The boat ride was great fun for the littles and beautiful. The hike was actually easy compared to Taggart Lake we did the day before due to being much shorter and lots of stairs. Views at the top were smoky but still beautiful and we had our lunch on the shore of the lake near the dock.

Traveled with 4 people- all generations! (Lots of bear scat, NO BEARS) Turned on to Moose Loop and sure enough, we saw a MOOSE! every 1/2 mile we were surprised with another amazing view. Jenny Lake by far is the most gorgeous hike I’ve ever traveled on! For the lucky ones that come across chippy at the peak, please tell him I’m sorry I didn’t share my granola bar.

Great hike that my girlfriend and I did mid-day. Rather hot in late August but early morning and you won’t have near as much heat or people for that matter.

If I can do this trail then so can you! Very nice views. Lots of places to stop and relax if you are looking for a leisurely hike. We stopped to take a lot of photos and sat at the top for a few minutes and this took my group of new hikers about 2 hours round-trip. Lots of chipmunks. Heard lots of people see bears, but we never did. Bring your bear spray!
