TEMPORARY CLOSURE 2018: The path to Inspiration Point that connects to the Cascade Canyon trail is currently closed. There will be no through trail from Hidden Falls and Lower Inspiration Point into Cascade Canyon during the summer of 2018. Visitors can still enjoy Lower Inspiration Point during construction. Parking at South Jenny Lake is extremely limited during the 2018 summer season. Plan on arriving early, before 9:00 am, or plan to visit late in the day, after 4:00 pm to have the best chance of finding a parking space.

Took the boat across the lake. Ride was quick but the captain was entertaining and gave us some trail info. Hidden falls was awesome. Disappointed we could not hike to the cascade canyon trail because part of it is closed.

We did this hike in early June and thoroughly enjoyed it. The falls are gorgeous and heavy with snow melt. We saw a black bear cross our path about 30min into the hike. Definitely recommend getting there early as this is a very popular hike. We started around 8:30 and there only a few people on the trail. By the time we arrived back around 11/11:30, the parking lot was overrun.

Great trail for first timers. I did this trail during my first trip to the park and had a great experience. The views of the distant mountains are incredible. The hike itself doesn't take long and you can easily do it as a morning or afternoon hike.

We didn't take the shuttle but hiked from the String Lake trailhead, and went up to Inspiration Point. The point itself and the view there was just okay, but the hike along Jenny Lake was lovely. Saw some black bears not too far off the trail, they didn't seem to bothered by the masses heading up the trail and kept on eating and lounging. Quite a busy trail.

Incredible! our whole trip we were waiting for something like this! We also really wanted to see a bear and we saw one eating 50 feet away!

It's straight up for about one mile but the views are worth it!
