Tips

A shorter version of the Chain of Lakes route. Earlier in the year (May-early June), the ford south of Wolf Lake is chest high and far from ideal.

When crossing the Gibbon River east of Ice Lake, head left/up stream to a fairly easy log bridge (this was in early June of 2020).
