Perfect! Saw lots of wildlife including two moose, several grouse, and a badger. Stopped for lunch at inspiration point then walked a little over a mile into the canyon to enjoy the view. Even on a cloudy day, the hike was spectacular. Well-kept, moderate level trail all the way.

Beautiful hike. Relatively easy and flat throughout, except near Inspiration Point. Hidden Falls absolutely worth going to. Try no to go on a busy day or the trail will feel very crowded.

Great scenic hike! Lots of fallen trees but otherwise great trail. Loved it. Moved on over to inspiration point/hidden falls for another long day.

Hiking

Amazing hike! Stunning views, watching the clouds blow around the peaks was amazing. The hike from the west boat dock to Inspiration Point up the rocks is the only really difficult spot, the rest is a pretty slow incline but we found it challenging distance wise. Kind of irritating that the app is so vague about where to park and the added distance of parking lot to trailhead. Park on the north side at the String Lake trailhead for the shortest walk to the CC trailhead. Ended up being 13.7mi from our car to the top. There were a few spots with some mud/ice but were easy to walk around. Trail was fairly crowded for the distance and weather. Didn’t see any large wildlife, saw some squirrels/chipmunks and a pika. FYI there isn’t really a spot to sit down and eat at the top if you’re planning on it. We found a log in the meadow about 1.5mi from the top.

A very busy trail. Easy and largely flat this is a great trail for all abilities. the falls are pretty. The best stuff is up past them, inspiration point, cascade canyon. Keep going once you reach the falls!

Walking around string lake and jenny lake is beautiful, easy walking paths and then a short way up to get to the falls. Area by the falls/boat docks is super busy most times of the day. The falls are huge but hard to find a time there when things are quiet for finding seclusion.

Our first trail in Grand Tetons, and it had everything to offer. Great view of two lakes, String and Jenny Lakes, and great view of the Teton range as we hike towards the hidden falls. Trail along Jenny lake goes through thick vegetation with lots of wild flowers. And Hidden Falls is a great rewarding view in the end. We had a reported bear sighting on the trail, but we could not see one as we went along. Highly recommended for the it’s scenic beauty, not difficult.

HikingGreat!

Awesome hike. Took family with kids ages 4-13, and everyone had a great time. Had to help the younger kids the last half mile up to the falls, but otherwise an easy enough trail. Got to String Lake parking lots at 930 and we probably got one of the last parking spots (Friday morning). Played at String Lake the rest of the day: kayaks, paddle boards, tubes. Tons of fun!!

Beautiful, well marked trail. Was easy enough for a family hike. There were tons of people once we made it to the ferry landing and up into Hidden Falls. While I would do this hike again, I will definitely wait until the off-season when there aren’t the crowds.

Trek in from Jenny Lake via Hidden Falls along Cascade Creek. Ascended up to Inspiration point and then back on into the Cascade Canyon. Wonderful weather. Highlight of the trek was watching 2 bull moose enjoy a healthy meal of willows.

The shuttle boats are running across Jenny Lake and we experienced a constant flow of crowds from the drop off going up to the Falls. It was a steady stream of folks with only about a third wearing masks and social distancing not possible. Given all the choices in the park I’d pick a less trafficked trail at this time.

Hiking

After the first mile, the trail is relatively flat and it really lets you enjoy the views. The hike up to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point is included in the steep first mile, and both are worth it. After inspiration point, the trail goes right down the center of the canyon. The rock formations and Tetons tower on both sides. It is definitely incredible. We saw a 2 moose and and black bear, both on the other side of the creek. At the end there is no real payoff, but it doesn’t matter because the payoff had lasted the entire hike. All that means is that turning around early means you don’t miss anything major.

Awesome time out. Hiked down from String Lake trail to avoid taking the boat. Saw osprey, bear, moose, marmots, picas, and plenty of other birds. Great time out!
