Beautiful hike, mostly open meadows with lots of runoff and muddy, but not alarmingly so if you have waterproof hiking boots. I started from the campground and only went to cascade lake. Lots of Clark’s nutcrackers, ravens and osprey and a couple of swans on the lake. Only saw two hikers on the trail and that was on the way back. Breathtaking views. The bugs were not bad, I didn’t even have to put bug spray on. No elevation to speak of so easy hike

4-24 Only went to Cascade Lake, snowshoed in about 5 miles total. Lots of snow and it was pretty mushy.
