HikingGreat!

Start from road 6885 for 3.5 round trip. Very steep with very few level spots. View at top of lakes is excellent. You will earn that view.

It goes up and then up some more. Steep. Manageable if you give yourself plenty of time. Beautiful views on both sides: Tetons and of Emma Matilda lake. Well worth the effort.

Totally worth it to Grand View Point. Beyond that it's subject to debate. If you're just looking to do more hiking maybe. Beyond the summit its mostly switchbacks down to the lake. You might be better served to drive to the lake and do the loop around it as a separate event from Grand View Point. Depends on your goals.

Great little hike to the view point! Lots of area to see and things to see. Said hi to a grizzly before heading up the trail which is always a treat. Very pretty area! The trail was dry and plenty of shade along the way.

Great Trail- it was very secluded and heavily wooded. Spooky at times. Husband and I took our 18 and 9 year olds. The top of the trail had an spectacular view. And it does loop around. After we had done the hike, heard from the ranger at the visitor center that there had recently been a grizzly attack on a moose in that area.

Incredible wild flowers, views and weather. Brought bear spray but saw no animals at all. Better safe than sorry. Easy hike with big view payoff.

A bear attacked a moose and left it to die. The moose was still alive. We called the ranger station. Not safe to walk the trail at this time.

Excellent views from the top. Do the loop rather than out and back. All trails does not show the loop but it is clearly marked form the parking lot. I recommend clockwise.

Short hike up to Grand View Point. View was probably good 20 years ago, but trees grow. Lots of good views of the Tetons throughout the park. This one is fair.

Phenomenal hike with breathtaking views at the summit! We continued down to the lake and hiked to the parking lot at Twin Oceans Lake. We saw tons of wildflowers along the route to the summit. The mosquitos were abundant but if you kept walking they weren’t too bad. Loved this hike!

Hiking

A wonderful moderate hike work great views of the Grand Teton Mountains! trail is well-maintained and dry. if you take the trail from the top and head down to the Two Oceans Lake, be advised that the trail doesn't really go to the lake, just to a connecting trail that goes around the lake, and, it is a fair steep decline to the lake.
