If you want to see the Grand Prismatic from a higher elevation, then take this hike. It is not too difficult. Kid friendly. A cool view for pictures of The Grand Prismatic. It does get crowded. I recommend doing it either early morning or in the evening after 4 or 5 pm.

Great swimming area, definitely warmer than a normal stream. Watch for some currents that can gently pull you into undercut rocks and the current can be strong, but ends in a fairly open area that you can swim to shore in. Children may need life jackets.

This is a beautiful scenic drive but it is not a trail. It is a narrow drive for cars that passes along a beautiful waterway.

How can you not love this place? It ranges from a beach area with shallow water for kids, to deeper water and rapids to can jump into up above.

Open for swimming! Great place, plenty of safe areas for kids and fun areas for adults. Recommend bringing a life vest as the currents are strong in the deep areas. A fun activity for strong swimmers is to head up stream and float down through the canyons twists and turns.

Closed with fines for swimming, water not warm.

This is a great way for kids to get their swimming fix! Loads of fun! Swimming shoes may be helpful because the rocks are jagged. Parking may be tough. Definitely worth the time!
