Great trail up to East Tensleep Lake. This trail gets moderate use mostly in the form of ATV/UTV and OHV use. The trail has several rocky sections in the beginning that can be navigated with a truck or higher clearance car. Once you get to the turn where the trail changes from a general NE direction to the NNW up to the lake, a high clearance vehicle with 4 wheel drive is going to be a must. There are several steep rocky inclines that must be navigated, as well as several mud holes and a creek crossing. Once up and on the top its a nice drive in the tall pines back to the lakes. There are plenty of spots to camp for a night or two if you bring a tent. You can drive this trail to get to the lakes and go fishing. It sees increased use in the fall closer to hunting season.
