Getting There

There are two options from the Crystal Creek rest area: 1. Head SSW and follow along one of Crystal Creek's tributaries and then head east over the saddle and down to Pete's Hole. Then head NNW up Crystal Creek to the falls. 2) Immediately head NNE along the two track across the road. Follow the two-track as it loops back south and head down to Crystal Creek. Follow along the creek by staying on the East side (you'll need to cross at some point). Stay on the left of the creek (East side) and follow the game trail down to the falls.

The trail was hard to find. We started on the higher section and made our way across, backtracked a couple of times and eventually went down. Without phone service, navigating would have been near impossible. Next time, I would take the lower route and come out the same way.

First to Review

This is not a trail, there is no sign of other traveler usage and once you are over the ridge there is a extremely steep passage with lots of downed trees and hard footing. We turned around and enjoyed the views but find it hard to believe that this is considered a trail or even a passable trail.
