Great trail! We started on the Hagen trail side and went east first (harder part first!). We added a little to it by up the Hagen Stairs. Instead of taking the left over the creek that’s depicted, keep going to get to the steps, then take the next switch back left turn to get on the other side of the creek. Beautiful views!

Nice easy trail along and slightly above the creek with walk back on road. We pad can get muddy after rain. Nice views and meadows. Would recommend for something easy.

Really pretty, forest hike mostly along a stream. Flat and not difficult (though there are some stairs about 3/4 of the way in). Not much views, but forest makes up for it. I went up to Putt Putt trail on my way back to get some exercise - it was a little elevation, but not as pretty.

HikingGreat!

Lovely trail, with several spots to step off and enjoy the river. Saw lots of mountain bikers, not all considerate unfortunately (we’re avid mountain bikers ourselves so we can appreciate the trail while recognizing the need for good trail etiquette). We did see two moose on cache creek “trail” (it was a fire road). The first moose gave us a wide berth but the second bull moose was debating charging despite us moving away from him at a quick clip. So be aware, carry your bear mace and keep your dog leashed! If we were to do the trail again, we’d take the higher trail that parallels the cache creek trail since it takes you halfway up the mountain and seems like it would offer lovely views.

beautiful trail in the early morning. no bugs. if you follow the trail on the right side of the stream, and do the whole loop, it's a very gentle 5 mile hike.

A few hikers (with dogs), a lot of mountain bikers. Hardly any shade on the north side of the trail, and only a bit more on the south, so be sure to bring/ wear sun protection. A lot of pretty wildflowers 7/4/20 with butterflies. Also a ton of bugs (horse flies, bees, and flies mainly) on the trail, most whiz by if you keep moving but if you stop they will land on you. Overall, an easy walk in the woods with pretty scenery. The loop is 1.9 miles if you follow the signs for Hagen trail, but it is easy to miss the signs and follow a different trail.

Perfect trail for dog walking. Off leash walking is welcome in some areas, but only advised for well trained dogs as there are many bike riders in the area and possibility of horseback riders. Poo stations up near the trailhead. Well maintained trail, mostly flat. I did it at 22 weeks pregnant. Do be warned - it isn’t a 1.9 mile loop. If you do the whole loop trail it is closer to 5 miles. You can easily create your own smaller loop as there are several bridges that cross the creek. Happy hiking

Actually, we didn’t hike, but cc skied. We were in -5 degree weather with great groomed snow conditions. We encountered a few walkers, with and without dogs, and a few other skiers. It was a very enjoyable experience. The trail’s proximity to town (very close) may make bright, more temperate days more crowded.
