Steep, but one of my favorites. My kids 10, 8 and 5 all made this hike. it's paved, but too steep for wheelchairs or strollers. Amazing to be right at the top of the falls.

Great hike to an amazing lookout. super steep and alot of switchbacks but it was worth it. The kids loved it. 5, 8 & 10 years old.

5 stars for the view alone. You’ll contend with crowds, and it’s super short so not much of a hike...but the view makes it worth it.

Suuuuuper steep with lots of switchbacks and HEAVILY trafficked. But totally worth it!! The views are incredible. It should probably be rated as Easy though, as I saw 4 year olds and 80 year olds do it. It’s also super short, maybe 15 mins down and 20-25 up. One of the lookouts is closed.

Slightly challenging non-technical trek down to the lowest and closest view of the Lower Falls. Well worth the trip down and up.

The way back up is a killer but quite worth it for the amazing view of the falls. Definitely earns its moderate rating!.

This trail was worth it! I recorded one mile of total hiking, and that took about forty five minutes. This trail is very steep and is switchbacks the whole way, so I highly recommend wearing sturdy athletic or hiking shoes. The trail is pretty broad; it can handle two way traffic. And the falls are so gorgeous. The sound of the water rushing off of the falls is so soothing. You can take breathtaking pictures. You can also see the Upper Falls, although not as well. Definitely an awesome adventure!

Very pretty and worth the steep climb back up. It’s switchback trail that depends 600 feet.

Woooo! It's so cool to see the fall just beside it. I'm shocked by the beauty and sound. Fortunately I also see rainbow here. Two rainbows!

I just thought this one was ok. There are crowds and a ton of switchbacks and felt like view was just ok. I'd recommend viewing falls at higher overlook off loop.

Remarkably beautiful shirt switchback trail with active small brook on one side and large river at the bottom.

This is so amazing, to be able to somewhat stand over the brink of such a massive waterfall is such a treat. Great views of the canyon, so beautiful.

The power of this waterfall is spectacular. No photo or video could ever capture being so close to such force! If you aren’t good with hiking down so far and then back up, standing at the brink of the upper falls I thought was just as magnificent.

Short distance, just a viewpoint. But it wasn’t overly crowded and spectacular view. Awesome to get so close to the base of the fall; impressive sight!

This trail is very nice because it takes you to the top of Yellowstone’s most famous waterfall. Looking down you can truly take in the power of the falls. This path is good for all ages and is very easy. Also if you are in this part of Yellowstone I recommend you go to Artists Point for more great views of the falls.
