This trail is amazing. Our group of eight spent five days four nights going from Kepler Cascades to the south entrance. 43 total miles. Many waterfalls and moderate well traveled trails. The water crossings were around 3 ft and were challenging but safe for most riders. We split off that trail and made it to Union falls. Very scenic and beautiful. Best riding in the country!

Great hike. We did this hike with a few excursions along the way over 5 days. Only negative was the mosquitoes were horrible and we did not see any wildlife.

Awesome hike in late August when the bugs are gone. It was just two of us, but they recommended a larger group as it is Grizzly country. So, we made lots of noise and talked to other hikers on the way and didn't have any issues. First night it snowed, but after that the weather warmed up nicely. We left our car at the Bechler Station and shuttled to Old Faithful. From there, we took a 5-day 4-night hike from Lone Star to the Bechler Station. Lots of geysers (personally, I believe Lone Star is better than Old Faithful) and hot thermal ponds. Definitely recommend stopping at Mr. Bubbles to soak in some warm water and wash the dirt off. Be prepared to ford about 3 or 4 rivers about mid-thigh deep. A good number of waterfalls on the way as well.
