Hiked with Brady who is now 7 1/2 months. It’s 82 and humid. There was a nice breeze in areas. The forested shaded areas provided some relief from the sun, but were horrendous for the bugs. Longest hike so far with Brady. Will do a few more hikes before we get him a pack. Would do the hike again, but more from late fall to early spring when there are no bugs.

Beautiful hike, great for dogs. Although there was one hunter and I could hear his shots echoing across the lake. Made me a little nervous, especially with my very large lab/hound mix around, but the hike itself was a good variety of meadow and woods, so it stayed interesting.

It was very, very muddy. We had a great hike until teenage son had a low blood sugar with a mile left to go and realized he left all his glucose tablets back at vehicle. So thankful for an older couple picnicking at the beach who gave him a pack of Twizzlers to raise his blood sugar. Thank you for preventing a seizure, if you ever come across this!

Very nice hike, although trails are grassy, they were extremely muddy after a few weeks of rain! wear boots! Half of the trail was quite hilly.

Trail is mainly grass, which helped for a spring hike. Half wide open prairie, half lightly wooded space, along with the lake provides for a nice variety on the hike.
