Nice, short loop with the kids.
This is one of the best trails I have been on in the Northwoods. There's a bog, part of the trail is right on the lake. 100 year old white spruce. Definitely check this one out!
This is my favorite place to hike in Wisconsin. Along the way there are unique tress, boulders, a lagoon, and a picnic area with a beach. I'd recommend grabbing a few friends, packing some easy lunches and swim suits, and possibly a frisbee and heading out. There is a water pump at the beginning and towards the end of the hike, so water bottles aren't necessary.
Beautiful trail for a hike with spouse. Bonus: 2 geocaches
This is a remarkable trail, 100 year old pines, lake views, eagles, loons, and swimming along the way. We love this trail!
