What a beautiful trial, especially the area’s with the deep pines. The Ice Age Portion back to Hwy ZZ was a welcomed challenge.

Good hike all around, but the deerflies were very annoying. They constantly swarmed my dog trying to burrow in her fur on her head.

green loop was OK, but switching to the IAT to close out the hike was much nicer

Great path for walking and trail running. It was not to bad seeing as there is nice foliage over head.

Nice rolling hills for most of the trail. A campground was on either side of the trail for about a mile. It was well marked. There were several rolling hills at the end.

January hike. 30 degs. Nice trail with numerous decent inclines. 5.5 miles taking the observation loop. . Heavily imbedded with rocks, so be aware. If you want a fairly short trail that you can do in < 2 hours and still get some physical exercise, this will do it for you. Once your hike is completed, go to Kunkleheads and have a burger. They are great!
