love this trail; really fun to hike along the cliffs. they have some campsites around there too. very quiet hike overall. whenever we have been here we have only ran into one or 2 people!

Did this one in early May 2013, after a long winter. Trees still fairly naked in the area except for the hardy pines surrounding the river banks and the trail. Beautiful little trail in this part of the country. The cliffs are actually easier seen from the Minnesota side (which is a bit more difficult to access) as you'll actually be hiking up the cliffside on the Wisconsin side. Very easy and somewhat remote nature walk and a good place to picnic as well.
