This trail is beautiful but can be a bit slippery after rain even with good shoes. Also you walk through some stream areas so you might get muddy/wet. I also was surprised this was considered an easy trail. Not that it mattered to me :) one of my favorite trails in a long time!

Nice trail with varying elevation changes. easy trail to navigate, just some tree roots in spots. Great view of an open cave and a nice waterfall. Able to get down to the waterfall for more adventurous hikers..we had kids ranging 7-12 that could get down to it with help from adults (just a bit steep...would be very challenging if the ground was muddy). Easier trail than Old Immigrant Trail.

Good hike but description is a bit off. All the trails in the Wyalusing State Park allows dogs other than the Sugar Maple Nature Trail. Also the map is not correct. This is actually a 2.5mi semi loop trail. Path splits a couple times. We followed the park signs and ended up doing a loop in addition to joining up to Big Sand Cave Spur Trail. Over all lots to see, streams, small falls, cavern, bluffs. Very beautiful. Be warned they have had a very heavy rain fall yesterday so the path is very slippery even with good hiking shoes.

.8 miles of a gentle downhill leads to a .8 mile loop, then back up the original .8 for 2.4 miles total, not the 2 miles listed here. Went on a hot day and the last .8 uphill was demanding but doable with a couple of quick breaks. There's also a small spur near the beginning of the loop that goes to the bigger sand cave.

Nice weather, I would like to see all of the trail if we go back to the park.

Very beautiful walk. Easy enough for my 4 and 5 year old to do but long enough that you feel like you accomplished something. Beautiful springs and small falls along the way.

Love it and saw the cave. Great for the kids but do wear good shoes. It can be slippery when not wearing good shoes

Awesome cave and falls. Depending on which way you turn cave and falls is 1/4 or 3/4 always from the start. Worth the hike. Suggest good shoes. A lot of rock steps.

My kid likes to play in the fluffy white sand at overhang where the waterfall is located. We go about once a year. Saw a rat snake last time, that was cool.

Pretty loop with two very small trickling waterfalls and shallow sandstone caves. I preferred the sugar maple trail at wylusing

Nice hike to a couple bluff caves, one with a wet weather waterfall. Trail layed out well and would be easy for youth to hike.
