This is a beautiful, beautiful trail. Our bikes are not skinny tire road bikes and they’re not mountain bikes, so I didn’t know what to pick, but the trail was in good condition. Mostly crushed limestone, but I could see where areas could be muddy earlier in the year or after a rain. The trail goes through the ridges and swales made by glacial lakes eons ago. Mostly shady with twists, turns and small hills. Would be a great hiking trail to slow down and check everything out at a slower pace.

Great Trail with a nice Surface and lots of small hills and bridges. The start of the trail is at the Lodge, not where GPS took us and we had to bike on the road to get to an access point. FYI there is no Cell Service anywhere in the State Forest, so don’t plan on being able to use the App. I would recommend a screen shot and follow the signs.

Beautiful. Some areas muddy. Some parts of the trail flooded over from the rain.

Excellent trail between the Point Beach State Forest Lodge and Neshota Beach Park in Two Rivers. Great for hiking, biking, and cross country skiing. Forested setting and sand dunes along Lake Michigan. Parts of this trail are collocated with the Ice Age Trail thru Point Beach. A nice pizzeria and bar (Port Sandy Bay) lies along the mid-point of the trail. Connects to several side trails near the Point Beach camp grounds.
