Kind of a boring trail. Trail wasn’t well groomed and we had to walk though almost knee high grass. Got a tick. Bring bug spray. Lots of bugs. Parnell tower loop is much better

Nice scenic trail. Oak groves, pines, cedar trees and low lands with catails.
we did the 5 mile purple trail, well marked and easy to navigate. Moderate inclines that give the quads a slight burn. Rest benches to hydrate every mile or so, it was 90 today, most of the hike was shaded so that was a benefit.
will do this again in the fall. I did notice many bike trails throughout the hike that a few decades ago maybe would have been a wonderful experience.

Great for running hiking or skiing!

My son had diarrhea that started half way through the hike, so he would probably give it only one star, but I liked that there was a small body of water to see. Recommend staying on trail in summer unless you have tick repellent.

Trail well marked and maintained. Old graded road bed turned into trail so natural terrain is smoothed out for trail. Nice forest and marsh views along trail. Picnic area with pit toilets at start. Rather small parking lot, additional parking at group camp lot.
