I walked out to the Old Baldy tower along the red trail and returned along the yellow trail. I didn’t record because our intent was to cross the dune to the beach. With the elevated Lake Michigan water level, the beach is barely there. We chose the walk/hike instead. The stair and boardwalk system which climbs up to the observation platform could be challenging, depending on one’s mobility capability and lung efficiency. The return to the Nature Center on the yellow trail was quite different than the walk out to the tower. Through undulating land with juniper bushes as well as along forest floor trails meandering through the former dunes, this trail could be far away from the buzz. I encountered only one other walker. Also encountered a snake on the trail. In the wooded section.

Nice trail. Saw lots of different things like a porcupine, two tiny snakes, wildflowers, sand dunes, wild strawberries, and enjoyed going a little off trail to the overlook and beach. Bring bug spray.

We took the Clark Lake spur to see pink lady slippers in mud-June. Gorgeous trails. We were all alone. Green trail return to Nature Center.

Easy hike. VERY scenic. This is a great way to work up a sweat right before cooling off in the lake.

very fun hike with the kids. we found a sandy beach north of the county park in the state park with no rocks or big waves for the kids to wade in.

Have been here a few times and loved it! One of few places I have been where there is "singing sand." Beautiful views from dunes.
