Overall nice trail! Some hidden tree roots but nothing terrible. Misconception of directions made us loop back and catch the other little loop at the beginning so took a little longer than expected but our own fault.

nice wooded trail with lots of small hills. the westside of trail had lots of mosquitoes, once on the eastside they weren't so bad, it seemed if you kept moving it was fine, but if you stopped for only a few seconds they swarm in on you.. a few other people on trail but not heavy traffic. Brunet Island SP is beautiful. lots of short easy trails on the other side of park with 2 campsites.

Great trail, small hills, no other hikers. Beautiful day, lots of wet land and kettle lakes as well as a river view in spring before leaves come out
