This beautiful hike is into the Porcupine Wilderness, foot travel only. You will see large pines and pass by ponds on the way to Porcupine Lake. Usually well maintained by a "friends" group. Trail is gently rolling with a few wet spots. The trail between Old Grade and Snake Trail has some spectacular views of the Marengo River valley and is steeper than other sections.
