well marked trails. saw a chipmunk at the beginning and no other wildlife. passed about 3 other pairs hiking the other direction. nice water access. very flat. easy hike. not too buggy but we were also wearing anti bug clothing.
Great day to hike. Love this trail. Many roots and Mosquitoes, what a beautiful day in the woods.
This is a lovely wooded trail along the lake that is littered with snakes. We got about 0.5 miles into it and had to turn around after encountering at least six snakes! Since we were not prepared and there was no warning saying “these snakes are harmless” we had no choice. Not trying to mess with snakes! Nice trail though otherwise...per my research afterward, most of them were garter snakes and then there was a huge fox snake that was, ultimately, the last straw.
