Lowes Creek Trails is a 8.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Eau Claire, Wisconsin that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October.
Very good signage along trails, fun beginner-intermediate style trails, small creek crossings, bridges, nice hilly terrain, at least 2 hours of riding different trails, well-maintained, bathrooms, and typically pretty low traffic
I've been here a few times. Great for building skill for cross country MTB. Definitely use this place to push your bike.
Very nice for wanting to get out of the city quick!
Fantastic variety of terrain and single track trails.
I hike and snowshoe in Lowes Creek almost every year. There are multiple loops you can take based on your interests. Some loops are steeper, some are for mountain bikers, and some are better if you're bringing your dog along. This is a great place to go cross-country skiing too.
These trails are very swoopy. Some great technical aspects, and some great short-yet-steep climbs. These are my home trials with a 2.5 mile warm up ride in and cool down out. Beware of leaves on the trails in the late fall and early spring. CORBA, the local off road group, maintains these trails superbly. Wood obsticles, log piles, rock gardens, and mulch filled downhills are everywhere.
