I really love lone rock; it's a great view from the top. the trial is a snowmobile trail so it is generally clear in spring and fall. It is a easy trail but it can be muddy and buggy in parts.

Sandy trails and nice wide path until Lone Rock itself. No one in the park and really easy flat trail to hike

This is a nice trail. Wear pants and bring lots of bug spray, the path is over grown and bugs were swarming us the whole trail. I apparently missed the turn for “cool rock formation” photos so I’m assuming you have to go off the trail for that. Otherwise it was a nice scenic walk, saw a lot of wildlife and my dog really enjoyed himself!

trail was extremely over grown. multiple trees down. knee high grass. swarmed by bugs. didnt complete hike due to conditions. would not recommend for summer months.

it a good long forest walk until the line rock pops out, then it's really cool. :)

Out and back hike was mostly easy with a moderate to difficult area near Lone Rock Butte. Trail seems to be lightly used.Although there was a lot of graffiti etched into the rock at the bottom of the formation. There was a lot of shade on the trail but there were also areas where there wasn't any. The trail was easy to follow and some trail markings were visible. The trail might become more difficult to navigate as brush and grasses grow. Didn't have time to find the described rough trail up to the top. Might be a good challenge for an avid rock climber. Be sure to go prepared as there were a lot of mosquitoes and flies. A good repellent made the hike pleasant. Lone Rock is an interesting formation with caverns at it's base. Allow extra time to explore it and find the trail to the top. I plan on going back.
