Lone Rock is a 6.2 mile out and back trail located near Adams, Wisconsin and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is accessible from April until October.
Out and back hike was mostly easy with a moderate to difficult area near Lone Rock Butte. Trail seems to be lightly used. Although there was a lot of graffiti etched into the rock at the formation. There was a lot of shade on the trail but there were also areas where there wasn't any. The trail was easy to follow and some trail markings were visible. The trail might become more difficult to navigate as brush and grasses grow. Didn't have time to find the described rough trail up to the top. Might be a good challenge for an avid rock climber.
Lone Rock is an interesting formation with caverns at it's base. Allow extra time to explore it and find the trail to the top. I plan on going back.
