Well maintained

Love this place, hike up top for a gorgeous view of the lake and then take the stairs down and see how close to Port Washington you can go.

We LOVE this 3 mile loop! Beautiful vistas, wood boardwalks through the marsh, bridges, well maintained and labeled trails through the woods (accessible trails marked), stairs down to Lake Michigan and wildlife/flowers everywhere! I hiked this with my 8, 12 and 14 year old girls. They loved it, too! We went on a Thursday afternoon and we passed several hikers, dogs and joggers on trails and beach. Bugs were as you would expect for a June Wisconsin day. Bug spray helped. Parking lot close to well marked trails. Easy to find. Bring a camera - the views are incredible!

Nice easy walk with gorgeous scenery!!

I with multiple aspen stands, mature white birch, a large cedar grove winding to the lake, a truly enormous diversity of plants, I can’t think of another, more interesting spot on the lake. I understand why it’s often crowded.

Beautiful views and a huge variety of wildflowers. Trails are very well maintained with mulched paths. We chose not to do the stairs to go down to the lakeshore, but that looks like a good option for next time. Nice, easy hike with the pup on a beautiful day.

love that all Trails are either soft mulch or gravel. great walking or jogging surface. can actually look at the landscape without having to watch for roots or rocks in the pathways.

This trail is easy but really beautiful. it's a good place to go with your family and take a relaxing walk. it can get really busy, too because of how scenic it is.

Wasn't a bad walk. Came on a Sunday and there were a lot of people, A LOT! Very easy walk with only 1 bathroom location. It was pretty, but not sure I will go back.

This a well maintained trail that has a mix of forest, lake view overlooks, bluffs and lakeshore. I great trail that is well marked and easily accessible. Parking seems limited so if going on a weekend you may want to get there early.

I will have to say that this is a good walking trail and access to Lake Michigan is possible. It was a bit muddy but negotiable with ease. Great for all ages and level of ability. There are a few picnic tables close to the beginning. Enjoy!

A little muddy but that's to be expected, we brought our rain boots for just that reason. Our 7 year old had a great time.

Lots to see here. Wooded segments and a path along a gorge overlooking the lake. I went the day after a light snow shower so the preserve was dusted and very serene.

This 73-acre park offers plenty of hiking trails, boardwalks through the wetlands, picnic areas, scenic views, and restrooms. Over 1/2 mile of 90- to 100-foot bluffs look out onto Lake Michigan, offering tremendous viewing opportunities for residents and visitors.Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve is also adjacent to a 44-acre wetland complex Ulao Waterfowl Production Area. Lion's Den Gorge Nature Preserve represents one of the last stretches of undeveloped bluff land along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
