The hiking is a 1... much better hiking can be found elsewhere in the Madison area. But the newly completed Lower Yahara River bike path is awesome! Easy riding 1.5 miles thru the park, then a .9 mile section of boardwalk across Lake Waubesa ending at McDaniels Park in Macfarland. It just opened at the end of August 2017 so it's getting a lot of traffic right now.

Lots of mosquitoes if you go in the summer especially now in august, stay away they are thick and brutal
