If walking from the parking lot on Q and K it’s about 7 miles in and out. Dog friendly, several benches. The river was moving at a nice rate. Trail skirts/cuts through private property with several houses visible from trail.

We were glad we put on bug spray before hitting the trail! Nice view of the river and very well maintained bridge/boardwalk. We brought our dog who had a blast. We did not pass anyone on the trail! (August, 2019)

Bring your bug spray! It’s July and we started from the South end where we got bit up and turned back, but it’s a great trail. Can’t wait to go back better prepared.

You can park in a lot that is closer to the trailhead just north of where q and k intersect. The best part of the hike is the crossing of the Oconomowoc river.

A little muddy at times, but otherwise well maintained. Trail cuts through private land in some sections so please be responsible and respectful if you come here.

First time walking this part of the Ice Age Trail and it was beautiful! Loved getting to walk alongside the river for a lot of the hike. It is very muddy right now so definitely go in shoes or boots you don’t mind getting dirty. Looking forward to coming back when it is less muddy and the trees have leaves! This might be my new favorite hike in the area, highly recommend!

Nice and easy trail if you are planning a quick hike. Took my youngest (who was 3 at the time) and although we didn't do the whole trail, he was able to walk about 2 miles worth. Really nice scenery.

One of our favorite ice age trail segments. Bugs are no problem now, Sept. 18, and not much rain recently.

Nice trail which crosses a river. The trail was very buggy. Even with lots of bug spray, it was miserable. Will go back in the fall and try to walk further without bugs. There were no others on the trail and it was peaceful.
