I trekked this on 03-17-11 from hwy 113 hilltop to parking lot at Parfreys Glen. I used a hand held GPS to go off trail up past the Sauk Point quarry and towers and then through the woods. Not a lot of wildlife sign in the snow. Snow was very deep yet and beagle dog had a hard go of it..........the Glen area is still closed due to flood damage and we crept through and were amazed at the damage. The stream actually follows portions of new gouged-out patterns.......what a shame. Had a great day. Weather was warm and snow is disappearing slowly. Did see a gorgeous red fox and several grey squirrels. Lots of turkey vultures overhead.
